I came across something today that, while it is very sad there is such a demand for, it is heartwarming to see this need being addressed; helping families that have lost their homes in foreclosure move and store their belongings.

Freemooves.ComThere is a new non-profit organization, FreeMooves, that is offering free moving and storage services to families affected by foreclosure throughout the U.S.

According to the company, they wish to be a security blanket for families during tough times.  How it works is a prospective client, someone that is being foreclosed upon or evicted, from their home, may call or email FreeMooves.com to request assistance.  FreeMooves.com will then determine if the client qualifies for free moving and storage services.  If the client is eligible, FreeMooves.com will act in the capacity of a consultant to determine the time-line it will take to organize the move, and if any storage services will be required.  If necessary, storage services for furniture and personal belongings will be offered for up to one year.

“This service will help people in a time of crisis due to the economic recession.” said Amy Dadow, President and CEO of the non-profit organization FreeMooves.  “This service will improve a person’s life and well-being during tumultuous times, and will reduce the trauma that children and families experience when furniture, clothes, and other personal items are seized.”

If you, or someone you know, is in need of this service, you can email them at info@freemooves.com or call 877-900-4373.
